About Sonia Halpern

Sonia has been involved in Or Shalom's Theatre Troupe since its inception in 1999. She has appeared in Village of Idiots, Rumour Has It (Best Actress Nominee, London One-Act Festival, 2002), Shake Hands With Your Uncle Max!, and numerous playreadings. In addition to being Or Shalom's VP of Adult Education and Social Programs, Sonia is a professor of Art History at UWO where she has received several teaching awards. She recently published her first book of poetry, entitled The Life and Times of Transition Girl (South Western Ontario Poetry, 2005).
